A red maple tree was planted at Fire Barn Park during Ferrysburg’s Arbor Day celebration on April 30.

The treetop view of Ferrysburg became one tree greener when the city hosted an Arbor Day planting of a red maple at Fire Barn Park.

The April 30 planting ceremony was put together and performed by the city’s Tree Board, which includes Chairwoman Jean Gitchel, Emily Stearley, Jordin Weber, Mayor Rebecca Hopp, city councilmen Scott Blease and Will Montgomery, and City Manager Craig Bessinger.
