Local leaders are taking a close look at M-104 safety.

1 M-104 SAFETY

Emergency responders assist at a crash on M-104 late last year. A group of local leaders is working to make the state road safer.

Dave Mackenzie, owner of Hortech Inc., 14109 Cleveland St., Nunica, said speeding vehicles and cars passing on the shoulder have become ongoing problems for the businesses and residents who live along the state highway.

Thank you to Dave Mackenzie and Erik Erhorn, and others, recognizing this opportunity to improve safety along this corridor. Ottawa County and MDOT need to step up and pursue funds and further studies regarding this road. Safety improvements are long overdue.
