Lawsuits over county park's deck collapse dismissed

The Weaver House in West Olive is blocked by police tape after a deck collapse on June 15, 2017.

PORT SHELDON TWP. — Judges have dismissed two lawsuits against Ottawa County that were filed after several people were injured at the Weaver House in Pine Bend Park more than two years ago.

When the deck collapsed at the historic home during an event for North Ottawa Community Hospital in June 2017, more than half of the 25 people standing on the deck at the time were injured.
