COVID-19 pandemic restrictions have loosened enough so that Ottawa County has started up jury trials again.

First on the docket is the involuntary manslaughter trial of Jaron Chatman, a 27-year-old Coopersville man who says he accidentally touched the trigger of a gun and unintentionally shot his wife, 24-year-old Emily Chatman, who was seated nearby.
