A house is only as strong as its foundation. In our case, we are blessed to have the people of our Northwest Ottawa County home as our foundation – enforcing an incredibly strong groundwork for generations to come.

As the Grand Haven Area Community Foundation celebrates its 50th anniversary, we are fortunate to have had so many passionate individuals dedicated to our community’s health and prosperity over the past half-century. Your support is commendable, and the grants that have been awarded – both from our unrestricted funds and donor-advised and designated funds – will have an impact far beyond your footprint.

About the writer: Hadley Streng is president of the Grand Haven Area Community Foundation. She will be writing monthly columns for the Tribune as the foundation celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2021.
