BLP deceit persists

After a PR heavy campaign led by a vocal group of environmental/political activists to urge the cancellation of a proposed methane plant and advocating for a second look at sustainable power generation options, the BLP has dropped a proposed new power generation plant but not bowed down to all of the demands of this 30 something weenie and his buddies.

He and his activist pals at the so-called Grand Haven Energy Organization have harassed the BLP Board members unmercifully, with significant support from the editorial pages of the Tribune – if they treated school board members similarly the Rev would be outraged.

These Community Organizers make a big deal of wanting to hire an “independent and unbiased consultant” to pursue educating the public on the pros and cons of local sustainable energy generation versus purchasing power off the grid and then helping ratepayers arrive at a consensus on how much local generation (if any) is desired.

How can a consultant be independent and unbiased when it is limited to brainwashing the public on only ‘sustainable’ energy generation and purchasing power off the grid, leaving out reliable and cheap fossil fuels? It can’t. The Community Organizers demand a consultant without ties to the “Energy Industry” but it’s a safe bet they will lobby for one tied to radical environmentalism and the renewable energy scam.

Since I live in the Township (closer to the City than West Olive), I sincerely hope that voters follow the recommendations of Young Saint Brendon – to quote H.L. Mencken:

“Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.”
