The Grand Haven Department of Public Safety says it has responded to numerous complaints involving the theft of vehicles or personal property being stolen from vehicles in the early morning hours of Friday.

All of the thefts — at least those reported as of early Friday afternoon — have occurred at or around residences on the east side of Beacon Boulevard, between Washington Avenue and Oak Lane, between midnight and 5:30 a.m. In all incidents, the vehicles involved were left unlocked, giving the suspect or suspects easy access to the vehicle and contents within them, said Capt. Clinton Holt.

Police request the public to be on the lookout for the following stolen vehicles:

— 2012 GMC Acadia, pearl white in color, with Michigan registration DYQ4243

— 2013 Ford F150, black in color, with Michigan registration DVZ7620

In the event that these vehicles are located by a member of the public, police request that you call Ottawa County Central Dispatch at 911 or the Grand Haven Department of Public Safety at 616-842-3460.

"Please do not attempt to contact, confront or detain any occupants that may be occupying these vehicles," Holt said.

Anyone with additional information related to these thefts is asked to call the Grand Haven Department of Public Safety or Ottawa County Central Dispatch.

The Grand Haven Department of Public Safety reminds all residents to keep their vehicles locked and not to leave vehicle keys stored in the vehicle.
