The Spring Lake equestrian team wrapped up their season with a Division D runner-up finish at last weekend’s MIHA State Championships at Midland County Fairgrounds.

Senior Ava Hatton (112 points) and freshman Lucy Boeve (105 points) competed in the four-day Michigan Interscholastic Horsemanship Association State Championship with nine other teams.

They earned the MIHA Reserve State Champion title scoring 217 points but were outscored by Sacred Heart Academy with 240 points.

The equestrian team would like to thank their coaches, trainers, and 2017 sponsors who afforded them the opportunity to compete at this level.
