GRAND HAVEN TWP. — When Kaci Wiebenga took over the head coaching position for the Grand Haven High School girls water polo team four years ago, it’s safe to say she started with a fresh slate.

Wiebenga has watched her eight seniors, who were just freshmen when she started, blossom into a team that has put themselves in solid position to lock up a fifth seed heading into district play next week.
