NEWAYGO — At this stage of the baseball season, it’s always a good idea to expect the unexpected.
A team of Grand Haven eighth-graders capped their baseball season with a Lakeshore Middle School tournament championship over the weekend, defeating three teams over last Friday and Saturday.
MUSKEGON — It took eight hours of baseball, but Spring Lake left Muskegon Oakridge as the last team standing during Saturday’s Division 2 district tournament.
SPRING LAKE — Gerrit Lyyski and Spring Lake’s baseball seniors got an extra home game to close out their season, hosting Tuesday’s pre-district game against Orchard View.
NORTON SHORES — There was a path toward a district title for Grand Haven baseball this week, with a winless Muskegon team waiting in the semifinal.
