The Western Michigan Christian girls were trailing Spring Lake by 11 points late in the third quarter, but with clutch shooting and timely defense the Warriors climbed out of the hole and sent the game to overtime. The Warriors took over from there, defeating Spring Lake 62-56.

MUSKEGON — Lucas Lyyski's 20 points led the charge for Spring Lake on Saturday night as the Lakers endured a tough night at Western Michigan Christian. The smaller school kept the Lakers honest down the stretch, but ultimately Spring Lake finished the night with a 51-44 victory.

FRUITPORT — The Fruitport boys basketball team hadn’t won an O-K Black conference game in four years. On Friday night, the Trojans ended that streak with a 69-61 win over Kenowa Hills.

FRUITPORT — The Fruitport boys basketball team was firing on all cylinders Tuesday night. The Trojans beat the Orchard View Cardinals 77-33. Gavin Fisher shot lights out from the field, scoring a game-high 34 points.

GRAND HAVEN TWP. — Down by 10 points with six minutes left, Grand Haven put the game in the hands of senior Jolee Houle. It wasn’t much of a surprise that the Wayne State signee pulled the Buccaneers back into the game almost single-handedly.
