MUSKEGON — Lucas Lyyski's 20 points led the charge for Spring Lake on Saturday night as the Lakers endured a tough night at Western Michigan Christian. The smaller school kept the Lakers honest down the stretch, but ultimately Spring Lake finished the night with a 51-44 victory.

SPRING LAKE TWP. — Seven minutes into Spring Lake’s Friday matchup with Comstock Park, there was plenty to be happy with. The Lakers were up 10-2 and cruising.
GRAND HAVEN TWP. — On some nights, a basketball team, much like Grand Haven, can run into an opponent that will feel like a buzz saw. On Tuesday, Hudsonville was exactly that team.
SPRING LAKE TWP. — In their first home game of the season, the Lakers fell short against conference rival Coopersville. The Broncos defeated Spring Lake 68-50.
PARK TWP. — West Ottawa sophomore Molly Borski said the Panthers, which feature a smaller lineup this season, do their best to compensate for their lack of height.
ALLENDALE — Spring Lake hung tough for the majority of Friday's contest at Allendale, but down the stretch couldn't find the shots to stay in the game.
FRUITPORT — The Fruitport boys basketball team hadn’t won an O-K Black conference game in four years. On Friday night, the Trojans ended that streak with a 69-61 win over Kenowa Hills.
ALLENDALE — Spring Lake has endured an up-and-down start to their season as their young roster slowly comes together. If Friday's 58-44 win over Allendale is anything to go off of, they may turn themselves into competitors in the O-K Blue yet.
FRUITPORT — The Fruitport boys basketball team was firing on all cylinders Tuesday night. The Trojans beat the Orchard View Cardinals 77-33. Gavin Fisher shot lights out from the field, scoring a game-high 34 points.
GRAND HAVEN TWP. — Down by 10 points with six minutes left, Grand Haven put the game in the hands of senior Jolee Houle. It wasn’t much of a surprise that the Wayne State signee pulled the Buccaneers back into the game almost single-handedly.
GRAND HAVEN TWP. — Grand Haven faced their toughest battle of the season Saturday, taking down Holland Christian in overtime 47-43. The Buccaneers won the Lake Michigan Cup, being the only team in the tournament to win both of their games.
GRAND HAVEN TWP. — Despite their continued efforts for a comeback, Spring Lake came up short in their first game of the Lake Michigan Cup. The Lakers lost 58-55 to Glen Lake.
