Grand Haven players tackle Grandville's Cam Terry during the first quarter of their game Friday evening.

GRANDVILLE — One of Grand Haven football's biggest questions centered around the team's youth. After losing many impact seniors to graduation, the Buccaneers didn't know how they stacked up against O-K Red competition.

Friday evening will serve as a wakeup call, as Grand Haven struggled to keep up with Grandville in a 62-18 loss in their season opener. For Mike Farley, returning as Grand Haven coach for his second stint, it wasn't the start he'll have wanted.
