With the girls basketball state tournament headed into regionals, the boys tournament gets going on Monday. New for this year is a seeding procedure that keeps the top two seeds in each district from meeting each other until a potential final.

Of the area’s teams, 11-9 Spring Lake is the only one to receive a top-two seed after finishing with the highest Michigan Power Rating in their district.
