Frank Lloyd Starboard was one of six boats that took to Lake Michigan on Saturday morning to compete in the Maiden Race. Hosted by the Grand River Sailing Club, the race featured boats crewed entirely by women.

The race took place on a course marked by buoys placed a half-mile apart. Each boat had to complete 10 legs to finish.
