The MHSAA announced Friday that high-school sports would be canceled for the remainder of the 2019-20 school year.

Two tweets this week showed the difference of opinion on how to handle the coronavirus as it relates to youth sports.

The first, from Stone Whipple, an assistant coach with Grand Haven’s freshman baseball team: “Hey @MHSAA, you should allow spring sports to play through the summer. I want to coach and the kids want to play there is no harm.”
