FERRYSBURG — Monday morning’s rush-hour traffic was slowed when an older SUV caught on fire on northbound U.S. 31 between Ridge Street and VanWagoner Road.

The event will take place Saturday, Aug. 25, from 12-3 p.m. It is open to the public.
“I was going to start loading my car to go to work (and) the garage was filled with smoke,” said Mary Kuehle. “It was billowing up under my car, so I ran in the house and called 911. It scared me.”
