Short-term total closures for bascule test openings will occur from 9 p.m. Monday through 5 a.m. Tuesday on U.S. 31 over the Grand River.
Northbound U.S. 31 over the Grand River will have a single lane closure from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, March 4.
The project will cost the cities of Grand Haven and Ferrysburg $1.425 million, with $409,000 in federal funds through the state’s Transportation Improvement Plan.
Lane closures for guardrail work will be in place Thursday, Dec. 20 from 9 a.m. to noon on westbound M-104 over the Spring Lake Channel.
The ramp will also be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 17-18.
One lane of Columbus, near Sixth Street, will be closed Thursday; Elliott, between Fifth and Sixth, will be completely closed Monday.
In addition, lane closures for guardrail work will be in effect Wednesday on eastbound M-45 near Allendale.
The closures will be at Third Street in Ferrysburg.
The Michigan Department of Transportation will be doing work on I-96 in eastern Ottawa County early next week, which will result in some lane closures.
A labor dispute that stalled some road work projects in Ottawa County and across the state in September has been resolved with a long-term contract reached this week.
Nightly closures for road work will be in effect Sunday, Oct. 7 through Tuesday, Oct. 9 on Sherman Boulevard over US-31.
The new route that was originally planned for Monday through Wednesday will be moved from First Street and Clinton Avenue to Second Street and Lafayette.
FERRYSBURG — Jennifer Shaw says people must not believe there is road work happening on West Spring Lake Road because a lot of cars are passing the detour signs before the drivers discover that they will have to turn around.
Lane closures for road and bridge work will resume next week on U.S. 31 from Grand Haven’s north end, over the drawbridge and through Ferrysburg.
The road work will continue into next week, MDOT says.
